Personal Statement

I am a first year college student at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. With my choice of a business marketing minor and a pre-med major (currently a biology major), I make sure academics is my first priority; hockey following right behind. Having a hard work ethic, I obtain the grades I want and enhance my abilities as a player every day. My biggest goal growing up was to play at the highest level of hockey there was, dreaming of one day playing in the NHL. Along the way, I realized that the road there is full of many little steps that must be reached. I have trained all my life to become the player I am today, both mentally and physically. During the off season, I train both on Ice and off ice at MAP (Minnesota Advancement Program), determined to become the best player I can be. I have the heart and drive to reach my goals, pushing myself beyond my limits. Physically I am a strong player, good with my hands, and an accurate shot. Although, my speed is my largest attribute; scoring at a Pro and D1 level in speed during on ice testing at the beginning of my 2014 MAP season, staying consistent to today. Mentally I am a playmaker, and I have the mind set that I am as good, if not better than any other guy on the ice. As of now, I have concluded my first year of college hockey at UW River Falls (WIAC). It has been a wild experience in the aspect of becoming a rookie all over again, however I have grown into my confidence at this level and hope to dominate the remaining years I have in college hockey.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
