Darien Jones '14 Recruiting Profile

My name Darien Jones, I am the starting goalie for the Monticello High School team. I am 5'11" and weigh 175 pounds, last year was my Junior year and I was the starting tendy for the team. I have a 3.2 GPA and I'm in the top half of my school.

In 2010 I played for the Raging Bulls AAA team and the highlight of our season was winning the International Cup in Blaine MN as the starting goalie for the team.

My junior year I was awarded Let's Play Hockey player of the game vs. St.Micheal/Albertiville. I was also given MVP for our first win over Rogers, a team that the Moose have never beaten in team history. In 2012-2013 I was 3rd overall goalie in section 8AA playoffs with a save percentage of 9.07. In section 8AA semi finals recorded 47 saves out of 51 shots against Brianerd.

My senior year I was 1st in section 8AA save % with a .926%. 2nd overall with all AA senior goalies. My GA were 2.08.

My senior year brought me an exciting year of hockey! This year my game became more consistent. I was stronger and more confident in net! As a result, I had my best year as a varsity goalie. I broke all kinds of records at my school! I have the new single season save percentage, career save percentage, most wins in a career and a few more! I received all-conference honors, as well as MVP of our team!

I plan on playing a few years of Junior Hockey so I can get stronger, physically and mentally. Thanks for looking!
