Ethan Marek '19 Recruiting Profile

I want to go to college to reach a degree in physical training; It'd be awesome to be a strength coach or a private trainer. I actually attended an accelerated college for my dream of writing books and movies, which I have a hockey trilogy almost completed. Now, I'm searching for a college that will recruit me onto their hockey team.

The summer after my high school graduation, I went down to my accelerated college in Florida called Full Sail University. Before the pandemic hit, I flew back home to finish school online. I am currently finishing my Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing (current author and screenwriter) with two self-published fictional hockey books. While I was in Florida, I lost one thing, and that was the sport of hockey. I didn't have a car down there, the nearest rink was a half-hour drive, and my school only had gaming as a sport. So, I supposed I learned the tough way that hockey was the ultimate love of my life, and here I am today, training for my one and only year of Junior hockey that no coach in the past motivated me to do.

I was the strongest and hardest working kid in high school. I made the athletic leaderboard for many things in high school such as squats, bench, clean, vertical jump, and sprints. My first two years of high school, I bounced back to back with JV and Varsity practice, playing varsity my Junior and Senior year. I did all of this because I wanted to be the best and strongest player on that ice, making a difference in the game.

Now, I've been coaching kids, ranging from Mites to Adults, for over six months. Now, I'm determined to train myself every week in the gym and rink, and I'm hoping to join a summer camp to train for Junior tryouts in 2021.
