I love the game of hockey! I am an offensive/defensive D-man; a team player, play-maker, and an all around leader. I was the assistant captain of my team, and then the Captain the year after that. I made bantam AA as a first year. I see the ice well, and I am a 200 foot player, who plays physical. I have been named Assistant Captain for my high school varsity team this upcoming season. I also played baseball, and currently play ultimate frisbee, (named Captain for that activity) and I enjoy golf.

- Comment noted by Rink Live and nuetral zone Scouting write up. Team Guentzel Tristan Pownall #2 (D, L, 5'8", 150, Prior Lake HS, 09/19/2006) -Pownall snapped passes quickly and on the tape. He made some superb one-touch dishes and was aware of the play beyond the play. He put players up ice in spots to make plays. He carried pucks up the sheet with his head up and was able to get pucks up and deep with his feet. He buried a power play goal on a one timer from a tough angle against Team Miller. Tristan played defense with his body as he surfed the blue line and made some quick steps and hits to stop the rush in the neutral zone. He also moved laterally quickly and used his balance and strength to pound a couple players right at his blue line. He brought the same toughness to the dirty areas along the wall and at the net front. His mobility and strong edges made all of this possible as he is not a big player. He had a nice event and real upside. Grade: B
