My name is Maximillian Pedraza (which I preferred to be called by Max) and I am 17 years old out of West Palm Beach Florida. I fell in love for hockey starting at when I was 7 years old. I started off playing in my local ice rinks program when I was 9 years old and ever since I turned 11 I have been in the travel hockey business, last playing for the Palm Beach Breakers and now going to be playing this fall of 2024 for the Tahoe Grizzlies. Before I played hockey I was a football player, where I normally played as a center, at the age of 4 through the age of 11, while simultaneously playing hockey a few years in between. After I decided to put full dedication into hockey I took up 1 year in boxing to improve fighting skills and good conditioning habits. Through elementary and middle school I have excelled in my academics, being a straight A's honor roll student in all advanced classes, and being the first ranked kid in my school. My strong suit in academics is Math, as I have gotten 5's on my FSA/EOC through 5th-8th grade, beating out every kids score in my class each year. I wish to get into a D2/D3 hockey team, that'll lead me to a college that has a good engineering program and a good hockey program where I can interact with many kids and coaches to have the best experience possible. Even though I might not be one of the smaller or faster kids on the ice, I always like to try my hardest and improve my skill and mindset to raise my personal bar. If my team is down during a game, I don't like to hang my head low as it lowers the mood on the bench. I will always try to keep the spirit high for my team and I won't give up. My parents have always played a big role in my mindset and they believe I can accomplish whatever I put my mind to, which can make me a good candidate for your team. As of now I reside in Northern Reno where I am being homeschooled, trying to stay on the ice minimum 3 days a week and try to condition 2-4 times a week as I stay in shape for the season.
