My collegiate goals include attending an institution that I am able to be challenged academically and where I can play hockey, the sport that has been a major part of my life since I was five years old. I consider myself a person who likes to excel at everything I do. I consistently strive for excellence. As a student I am very conscientious about my work and seek out all opportunities to help me succeed. These characteristics carry over and make me the player I am on the ice. I was the captain for the Long Island Royals for three straight years. As the captain I made sure my teammates were working hard, I lead by example on and off the ice, and I gave 110% every game, all game, regardless of the score. I was recently named the captain for Phillips Exeter Academy and plan on helping lead the team with my leadership qualities. These qualities demonstrate that I have the work ethic and ability to be successful in the classroom and on the ice.
