I plan to attend an academically and athletically competitive college that has strong programs in exercise science, kinesiology, and physical therapy. I have deferred my acceptance into a NJ State school in hopes of pursuing my dream of playing NCAA college hockey. When we have an opportunity to speak/meet, you will find me to be kind with a consistent willingness to go the extra mile for others, or myself. Academically, I have persevered through my ADHD, working harder than most to achieve a B average. This experience has made me more self aware than most of my peers.
Athletically, I have worked very hard both in season and out of season on developing my physical attributes, my skills, and my hockey IQ. I have researched and built my own workouts, taken teammates to open hockey and designed drills to help them improve, and I coach skill sessions and in house hockey teams (giving back to the game, while developing my hockey IQ). As a player, I have put what is best for my team ahead of my personal stats/desires. I’ve moved from center to wing when needed. I volunteered to transition from forward to defense for my senior year of high school, because that is what our team needed to be successful. Throughout this all, I have been averaging a point a game for most of my career; regardless of level of play or position on the ice.
