Shane Culley '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Shane and I am 18 years old currently playing in my rookie season of juniors. I play in the EHLp for the Union Jr. Thunder which is the affiliate team to the NJ Bears in the EHL. I had played travel hockey for 12 years and 4 years of HS Varsity. Throughout my years in hockey, I have played at all levels from A to Tier1. Most of the teams I have played for I was the leader in goals and total points, including the 16U team where we won the state championship. I have always been an effective player on the ice whether it is scoring, assisting, or creating opportunities. These are some of the reasons why I was eventually chosen to be a captain of the Varsity team in high school. Hockey is a huge part of my life and playing at the college level has always been a goal of mine. Academically I have always been interested in the sciences, specifically Marine Science/Biology. I would also like to start exploring topics within business. Ideally, I am looking for a college to further explore these interests as well as excel in my hockey career.
