My name is Justin Ciarlante and I am a 5’10, 140 lbs Defenseman at Rancocas Valley Regional High School. I have a 3.6 average while taking Honors classes. I have played 2 years of Varsity hockey with Holy Lenape Valley. I am always early and the first one to every game. I would like to pursue a career in Computer Technology and/or Editing. I am looking for an excellent University that will push me both athletically and educationally.
I have always loved watching ice hockey as a kid and I started my hockey career when I was 6 years old playing street hockey. That would eventually grow into me playing roller hockey when I was 10 years old and then I could not wait any longer to play ice hockey which I started playing when I was 13 years old. I am a defensive Defenseman working on turning into a two-way Defenseman. I can make a good breakout pass out from the d-zone and I was always told I had a very high hockey IQ.
I love the sport of hockey and I want to have a career with hockey. Everyday I watch any NHL game that is on tv and that is all I watch. I also assist coaching my brother’s hockey teams. I am currently doing off season training, paired with a strength and conditioning class in school. I am always on the ice whenever I get a chance to, working to improve my overall game.
So far in my ice hockey career, I have won two Middle School championships, I have started on the Varsity ice hockey team for my first two years of High School, and I am looking to start again my Junior year. In my Sophomore year, my high school made it to the Championship game. Also I am playing travel hockey. This past year I played for the Grundy Senators 16U AA and this year I am playing for the Igloo Jaguars 18U AA.
Overall, I would like to play at the highest level of ice hockey that I can while learning my desired major.
