Michael Penna '19 Recruiting Profile

     I have been playing as a goaltender for 5 years. In those 5 years I have worked really hard and I have come from a Rec team to Starting goalie for High School Varsity Team and Wrap team. My dream is to make it to the NHL or play D1 college hockey at any school. Currently I am Playing for Shen Hockey and I am trying to make it to the next level.

     I am a hard worker on and off the ice and have a strong on ice game and good mental toughness.  I have a fierce work ethic and will overcome any obstacle I have to face. I improve tremendously each year and will not let myself stop improving by training daily on and off the ice.  I differentiate myself from other Goalies by having a strong fundamental game which helps me make saves that should be goals and can help me play at higher levels and adjust quickly to them. I am open to any new ideas and techniques that will help improve my game and I am very coach-able. I like to be a leader by leading by example and by helping to motivate others. I have a positive attitude on and off the ice, and can help the team stay confident. 

    In academics my overall average for each quarter is in the 90's mainly. I take my school work just as seriously as hockey.  Without success in school you can't have success in anything else.
