Personal Statement

My goal for college is to attend a four year competitive college where I can receive an outstanding academic degree. If possible, I would like to play Men's College Ice Hockey at the Division III or Club Level. I have had a love for the game ever since I began playing at the age of three and would like to continue playing in college. I am a very good leader, as I am the first ever Junior to be named head Captain in Shen Hockey history. I plan on playing for a junior team next season as well as high school. I am also a very likeable, nice kid. In addition to this, I take great pride in my academics. My average is consistently around a 95%, and this is with taking some accelerated courses that are at an honors or AP level.

Academic Accomplishments

Are you in honor classes?

Yes. Science - I have taken an honors level course every year for my science credit. This includes Earth Science, Biology, and Chemistry. Math - Until this year where I switched to an AP level, I have been taking all honors math courses. These classes include Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Trigonometry, and Pre Calculus. English - In 9th grade, I took the honors level course. Social Studies - In 9th grade, I took the honors level course.

Are you in AP/IB classes?

Yes. AP Statistics - I am double accelerated in math and this was my class of choice. My average is now around a 90% in the class and has improved every quarter this year.
