My name is Ryder Minion. I was born April 14th, 2007 and I live near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I am currently playing for the Brockville Braves U18 AAA Varsity hockey team. I am a left shot winger that plays both the left and right sides. Being a smart 200ft player and making smart decisions and plays is how I separate myself from the others. I have worked hard to improve my skating and skills over the years; which has made me an even better asset to my team.
My hockey goals are to play Junior and eventually go on to play for a college/university team. I would like to play up to the highest level that I can achieve and am willing to work hard to get there. My life goals are to graduate college/university with a degree that will help put me on a good career path but I have not yet decided what that path might be. I am always working to improve my grades at school, as I understand that this is an important part of my life.
I am a respectful person, I learn quickly and am willing to ask questions when I need more information. My coaches have said that I am a very ‘coachable’ player and I always want to learn and get better. I pride myself on being a good team player and I support and work very well with others. I have a positive attitude and a great sense of humour. I am very fortunate to have supportive parents and family that are willing to help me achieve my goals.
