Hello, my name is Chad Muller,
I have been playing hockey since I was 3 years old and quickly fell in love with the sport. I have been playing AAA hockey for 7 years now. I am a power forward who brings tons of intensity and excitement every shift. I have been bounced around the lineup playing defense, both wings and centre and I did not hesitate to move around if it meant the most success for my team. I pride myself in playing every shift like its my last, whether thats taking a hit to make a play, creating space by using my body and speed, throwing a big hit to get my team energized, using my "heavy shot" to create scoring chances or passing to a teammate instead of shooting the puck, I try to play every shift as hard as I can and be passionate when doing so.
Areas I excel in:
1. Power and explosiveness
2. Vision
3. Accurate and quick wrist shot
4. Being coachable
5. Leading by example
6. Reliable on defence and at the end of the game
7. Heart and passion
But what I think separates me from from other players is my work ethic. Early in my career I suffered a broken ankle two times to the same foot in one year, this taught me at a young age to work hard and to strengthen my body so I could return to playing hockey and not suffer another injury. Every day my goal is to get 1% better. My work ethic does not stop just for athletics. I work hard to be the best person and best student I can be. Right now I am a grade 12 student and have a 92 average after the first semester. I believe that keeping up my athletics and working out every day and maintaining my marks will allow me to be able to have a good resume for an NCAA program.
This past year I was drafted 19th overall in the U18 draft by the London Knights of the OHL. This opened my eyes and made me realize that all my hard work has paid off but does not stop there. Due to covid, I have opened my eyes from not just the OHL but to the NCAA route as well. I have always been interested in the NCAA and believe I could be an asset to an NCAA program because I bring tons of excitement and intensity to the team and am a very coachable and likeable team mate. As I said previously, school is just as important to me as hockey is.
If you'd like to reach out to me and talk about our future together I would be happy to talk and would be extremely honoured.
Thank you!
