My name is Christian, a family and team oriented student with a well rounded life, academic and hockey experience is looking to succeed in a University Engineering program, while competing in the sport of his life. A sizeable, game-smart Defenseman demonstrating commitment and endurance through fluency in 5 languages, 4.0 GPA in one of Toronto’s most demanding high schools and with 14 years of Select & AAA division Hockey play, out of which 8 years where with the same organization and coach.
My personality was generated as seasoned and refined athlete and traveller with exposure to many countries and nationalities on and off the ice. I participated in many tournaments national and internationally from Toronto, Bolzano, Philadelphia , Boston, Los Angeles and Beijing. have been invited and participated with the World Selects U12, several Silverstick Invitationals and World Selects U16, while also traveling to Japan as my high school emissary. It has always been my dream and aspiration through athletic and academic achievement, to transition from Youth Hockey to University Hockey while aimIng for a position in a professional league following the educational challenges.
A quick study on systems, controlled discipline and the talent to see the ice well has allowed me to contribute to the team with consistency, honed skills and continuous development. While my pass-first strategy, defensive approach and grittiness in the corners have limited my goals, the contributions in PK, Powerplay and zone transitions have added up in good team stats. Together with skating ability, strong edge work, agility and a no fear physical presence I could be a competitive asset for a team with a guiding hand.
Hard work and consistent attendance have always been a strength in my personal, academic and athletic endeavours without interruptions or distractions.
