I have been preparing and thinking about college for the past 5 years, and I want to make sure both that where I go to college is a highly academic school and also has a form of competitive hockey for me to participate in. I've been going to the International School of Beaverton for 6 years and have at the same time been playing competitive travel hockey simultaneously. During this time I have learned a great deal of time management and detailed scheduling, as I have had to complete an immense amount of schooling as well as going to nightly practices, games, and traveling for tournaments. This has highly prepared me for the challenge that doing both college hockey and college academics will be. In addition I have an extreme love of the game as I have been playing for 13 years, and my entire family has had hockey included in their lives, from playing D1 college hockey to coaching 8U. My life has been significantly positively impacted by this sport as I have so many good memories and lessons that I have learned from playing, watching, and being full immersed in hockey. I absolutely want it to continue to be a part of my life throughout my years of college and far beyond.
