I am coach-able, athletic, and I focus maintaining my composure and attitude while on the ice. I've been playing ice hockey since I was 3 years old and played deck at the age of 2 and I've been a goalie for a total of 5 years. I take mainly advanced classes,(English, History, and Adv. Geometry). I believe that you should always try your best at everything you do even if the effort doesn't lead to progress whether that's on the ice or in the classroom. I believe in being a team player and encouraging my teammates to play better, because when everyone plays at their best the team will be at their best. As a goalie my strengths are my speed, size, breakaways, poke checks, and my ability to be successful in scramble situations. My biggest weakness is my ability to play the puck, however that will come easily with more practice. I'm also fairly fast at skating, for a goalie, which can be very useful on delayed penalties and pulling for an empty net.
In school I maintain A's and B's with my honors and advanced classes, while also taking German, a nutrition class, and a physical conditioning class. My family has instilled a school first belief which has been successful as I have never dropped below a 3.0 GPA in all the years I've been in school. Since I can remember I've always tried my hardest to be the best in everything I do, making me into the competitive person I am today, whether I'm playing hockey or in the classroom I'm almost always the most competitive one there.
Hockey is by far the greatest passion I've had in my life anytime I can get on the ice, I'm on the ice, I've put more commitment and passion into hockey than most which makes me stand out from others. Along with my 11 years of playing and watching. My understanding of the game from those 11 years puts me ahead of others giving me an edge on my competition. I hold myself to a higher standard of sportsmanship and respect to my competitors, coaches, and refs. I will continue to work my hardest in school and on the ice to take myself to the next level in both.
