Personal Statement

As a young athlete, I've always been driven by a deep passion for hockey. From the moment I stepped onto the ice for the first time 10 years ago, I knew this sport would be an integral part of my life. Now, as I stand here and prepare for my college journey, I am determined to continue pursing my dreams on the ice. Playing hockey in college isn't just a goal; it's a lifelong aspiration that I am ready to turn into reality. The discipline, teamwork, and work ethic demanded by the sport have shaped my character and instilled values that extend far beyond the rink. Through countless hours and years of practice, early morning workouts, and late-night games, I have developed a strong sense of perseverance and resilience. Hockey has taught me that success is not just about winning on the ice but overcoming challenges and striving for continuous improvement. I am eager to learn from my college coaches and bond with new teammates.

I am honored that I have recently been excepted into the Aviation Academy at CCBC where I will begin my studies this fall to become a professional pilot.  I plan to graduate in May of 2026 from both Knoch High School and the Aviation Academy then pursue my dream of playing hockey at a university that offers Aviation.

I am inspired by many college hockey athletes and hope to become a role model for young athletes who share my passion. I promise to be a team player, leader, and always represent the team with best of intentions.

Volunteer: I volunteered for the Sydney Crosby's Little Pens Learn to Play Program in 2022. This consisted of assistant coaching approx 30 kids ages 5-9 for 1 hour over a course of 10 weeks. This is why I elected to volunteer: Passion for Hockey: Having played hockey for several years and being an avid fan of the sport, I want to share the joy, discipline, and camaraderie it has brought into my life with the next generation. Mentoring and Inspiring: Volunteering allows me to be a mentor and role model, guiding these young children as they develop their skills and self-confidence on the ice. Building Character: Beyond teaching skating, passing, and shooting, coaching is about instilling qualities like discipline, sportsmanship, perseverance, and teamwork that will serve them both on and off the ice.
