I have always believed that hard work, perseverance, and team work are the most important keys to personal success. I plan to bring these values with me to the junior and collegiate level of sports and academics.
As a team member, I pride myself on always being positive and encouraging to my teammates, as well as consistently displaying good sportsmanship. Hockey has given me great experience in learning to stay positive, even in difficult situations. While it's easy to be positive when the team is doing well, I've learned that it is most important to always stay positive even in difficult times.
I try to stand out and differentiate myself from other goalies by my speed and agility in the crease. I workout seven days a week so that I can bring maximum strength and agility to the position. I love being a goalie, and I bring passion and competitiveness to my training and workouts.
I was drawn to being a goalie because I've always felt a drive to be a leader, and to set the tone for the players around me. Being a goalie is the perfect position to demonstrate character, attitude, and hard work.
