Personal Statement

I have been playing ice hockey since I was three years old. I started playing with my Dad and over time earned my way onto a Tier 1 AAA team playing Goaltender. The sport has taught me basic life skills which I will carry forward through life. In particular it has taught me about integrity, honesty and that hard work, perseverance and grit really do pay off. My goals are to continue moving my game forward with my team, in the hopes of being selected to play Juniors and then with a D1 or equivalent college team.

After attending the one week camp I was invited to come back and train for an additional two weeks. I had private goal tending training and practiced with various Jrs teams, in addition to daily personal weight training.

https://elkingoaltending.com I started training with Jon Elkin the season before my first tryout for AAA level. I have attended his programs three (3) times a year since 2016. His methodology for training is world class and as long as I am playing goaltender I will attend his school to further my skills and ability to think and process the necessary physical and mental skills it takes to play goal.

In 2019 I was invited to attend the CEM Hockey summer camp program in Montreal, Quebec. Due to COVID19 and restrictions of travel in to Canada the camp was moved to Boston. It was originally planned to be a one week camp. After a successful first week I was invited to come back and hence spent two (2) more weeks in Boston and experienced some of the best training I have had in my life. I hope to go back this upcoming summer.
CEM Hockey Summer Program

2021 I have spent the summer living in Boston with other hockey players training on a daily basis. Every day consists of on ice and off ice training, I have Goalie Training a few days every week. For fun we play golf and go to Red Sox games. I go home every few weeks to visit my family and friends.
