My name is Grant Williams and I am a goalie for the USPHL‘s Jr. Blackbirds. I played high school hockey in the Nashville, TN area for the Independence Eagles. I am interested in colleges that provide a good sports medicine program and value student athletes. Goalies are not commonly known for their leadership skills, but my teammates could describe me as a leader with good morals. I was named one of 3 alternate captains my senior year based off of my performance and leadership skills for the team. I was voted Hine Cup Championship Game MVP and league All Star starter in 2021. Although I was offered 2 Junior contracts in 2020, I opted to finish high school with my teammates and try to win a championship, which we did. I am ready for my next step with the Blackbirds and ultimately a college opportunity.
