Oskar Dubon '26 Recruiting Profile

     Thank you for taking time out of your day to review my profile, my name is Oskar Dubon and I am elite AA player that takes advantage of any ice time and dedicates everything to the sport of hockey. It’s very important when anything hockey is in my schedule. I am a hardworking player, working all the time to the next level. I also take my academics very seriously and always preform on all my work greatly. I am a very competitive player, I am a great team-player, and I take my strength and cardio training very seriously. As well as other hockey players, my goal in hockey is to play D1 college hockey. 

    My game is very competitive and tough. Though I am shorter than most players, I am never scared to hit someone, nor take a hit. I am an aggressive player and am always engaged in the play whether after making a pass or not having the puck at all. My hockey IQ is very high and I vision the ice very well. As many coaches say, I am a very coachable player, and I take pride in that. I prioritize making a good first pass and making a good breakout play. Im hustling every shift and skating the hardest. I never let off the gas pedal no matter the score, no matter what team. I’m always putting in 110 percent in my on-ice and off-ice training. I’m always asking for feedback from coaches to help me improve my game.

   I have learned a lot about playing the game mentally and never letting anything get to your head. I see teammates a lot of the time with their head down after a bad play and I always find a way to help them and inspire them to only push forward and learn from mistakes. I never let a bad play get to me, I brush it off, learn from it and go out my next shift even better. For the last 2 summers I helped counsel at Mitch Korn Camp. I love helping younger kids improve on their game and giving tips of my own. 

   As well as my training on the ice, I take my off-ice training as seriously. I train 5-6 times a week working on different movements that improve power, explosiveness, and endurance. One of my specialties that coaches love about my style is my hard work. I am always pushing forward, even with difficult situations.
