Hi, my name is Dominic Wenner. I have been playing goalie fulltime in club hockey for 5 years now. I knew I wanted to be a goalie since the first day my parents took me to my first hockey game at the age of 5. I am extremely passionate about hockey and the goalie position.
I have been homeschooled for the past two years to allow me to attend the Dallas Hockey Academy. The homeschool program has allowed me to have flexibility to improve my goalie skills and travel with my team, but it has also taught me how to manage my time efficiently and how to be organized in my daily planning. I have been able to maintain all A’s since starting the homeschool program in the 6th grade. After graduating high school, I would like to pursue a degree in business while playing college hockey.
Being a student of the Dallas Hockey Academy for the last 4 years has been great privilege and has allowed me to grow tremendously as a goalie. I attend the academy 4 days a week which includes both on ice and dryland training in addition to my club team practice obligations. I thrive on being challenged and pushed to my limits. Those attributes help me to be the best goalie I can be.
