Brody Abbey '24 Recruiting Profile

Hockey is a way of life for me. Every little detail matters in practice, games, off ice practice, school and everything I do. I started playing when I was 11 yrs old for Austin Metro Hockey.  It was my first time on a team, but I immediately fell in love with the game. Last year I was on the Texas Jr Stars 14u A travel team.  I played wing/ center.  My team won the 14u A State Championship. I go to the Air Force academy in summer and I go to  pro edge. As a player  I am never afraid of a challenge. If anything I would take on any challenge, so it could help me to become more successful. When I make a mistake I build off of it to help me improve my performance.  As a team mate I am friendly and welcoming. I enjoy meeting new players and seeing the different skills they bring to the game. 

I aspire to play college level hockey and earn a degree while doing so. I'm competitive about my grades and my sport.
