Alexander Rasmussen '20 Recruiting Profile

As a defenseman, my style of play is centered more around making plays and protecting the defensive zone than scoring goals. I am comfortable supporting my team from the blue line or jumping into the play to create a man-advantage. I am a left handed shot and my preferred position is left defenseman, however i can play the position of right defenseman effectively too. My goal is to play hockey in college and have a balanced life between school, sports, and everything else. What separates me from others is my strong work ethic and contributions to the overall team dynamic on and off the ice. I don't get rattled easily and am good at walking away when provoked. I act as a leader when one is needed, but also encourage my teammates to contribute in the locker room and on the bench when they have something to say. I have good academics with a cumulative GPA of 3.6 for my freshman through junior years and an SAT score of 1340.
