I am Michael Polston, a 2023 graduate goaltender currently at University School of Milwaukee. I am a competitive player who is a leader on the ice and is willing to work hard in the classroom. I continue to push myself to the next level to achieve success by taking criticism well. My goal is to play college hockey and one day reach my dream of being an NHL goaltender. I strive to be a good teammate. Someone who is willing to help on and off the ice. Discipline and accountability are important to me as a player and as a student. This year I learned many lessons on handling adversity and using it as motivation to push forward. Currently, I maintain a GPA of over 3.6. I work to give my best effort in everything. The hardest part of goaltending is the mental grind, knowing you were the person who let in the goal. The best part is owning it and using it to win. My favorite part is all of it.

- I have used programs from a Strength Coach named Maria Mountain for four years. These training programs are off-ice development and are made specifically for goalies. I recently joined a new program that includes training for off-ice training that it in season and off-season training.

- I have done a camp called Goalies Inc. for four years and sign up for Goalies Inc. 3-5 camps every year. The coach who runs the camp is named Jim Stanaway and he is listed in the coaches contacts on this page.

- In the summers of 2018 and 2019, I have done the goalie specific camps. I am on the ice for an hour every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the summer, starting in mid-June. These lessons work a lot in skating development and edgework. These lessons are run by Austin Keiser and he is in the contacts for the coaches on this page.

- This summer will be my second time going to Shattuck for a week. I started last year and went during the summer and we got lessons in power skating, skill development, goalie lessons, dryland, and off-ice workouts.
