Hello coaches, my name is Owen Hare. I currently reside in River Falls, Wisconsin and play hockey at the Highschool level. From an early age my parents put me on skates in hopes of me becoming a hockey player. At the age of 2, I began skating. From then on I fell in love with the game. I knew at that point I wanted to play hockey. After Highschool, if given the opportunity I would love to continue my playing career at the junior/collegiate level.
As you can see in my profile, I am not the biggest skater. From what I lack in size I make it up with my speed. I am a fast, puck moving forward. My vision for the ice is one of the strongest aspects of my game. I would say that i’m a playmaker. I find teammates and know where they are going to be on the ice. My passing ability is the strongest part of my game. I am able to read other players and make that tape to tape pass when needed. Just because I am on the smaller side doesn’t mean I can’t hit. I like to grind and get into corners. I am a very physical player and able to use my body to seperate the opponent from the puck. My puck handling skills are key, and go well with my speed. Coaches would describe me as very hard working, passionate, and resilient. Where I am today in my game would not be possible without the extra work I have put in. I strive each and every time I step onto the ice to better myself, and teammates around me. Coaches/Recruiters, Thank you for taking time to look into my profile.
