My name is Brennen, and I play high school hockey as a goalie for Laramie, Wyoming and a Wyoming travel team. I try to have a good attitude in playing and focus on my game and how I can improve, rather than just winning. My goal for hockey is to keep improving, as well as playing hockey for as long as I can, and doing whatever it takes to do so. My best memory with hockey is a game I had in Lincoln, Nebraska. In this game I played my hardest, moved the fastest, and never slowed down, which is what helped us in our 3-0 win in that game. I try to always play consistently, as well as communicating well with my teammates and coach to ensure I am at the top of my game.
In addition to my love for hockey, I really like the outdoors and being active. One hobby I have is fishing with my dad. We try to go out as much as we can to fish, and whether it is from a boat or just from the shore, I always have fun, even when we don’t catch anything. Another thing I like to do is ride BMX. I do it with my friends and it is very fun to learn new tricks and challenge each other to try new things.
After high school, I want to take a gap year and try to play juniors before my college career, and for college, I would like to play on a team with good core, high standards, and coaches and teammates who will do what it takes to win. I want to be a part of a team who will help me grow to be a better player and person, a team that will test my limits, and work me to perfection. This college will hopefully have a strong program and good teachers. I don’t just want to be a part of a great hockey team. I want to also be a part of a great college community. For my career outside of hockey, I am really interested in having a job connected to working outside or with animals, such as range or wildlife management.
