I grew up playing football all through High School. My Freshman year in high school I was introduced to Lacrosse.
When I first started lacrosse I was only a beginner so like any other first year lacrosse player I was okay. I wanted to be more than ok. That summer I put a lot of time into building my skills. I practiced my stick work with wall ball and built my agility with football practice and play time. My dream and goal was to start with the varsity team the next year.
I increased my skill level over the summer so much the coaches noticed and I did accomplish that dream. I did get offered the option to play with the Varsity team that year. Unfortunately, I did not feel ready so I told the coach I wanted to focus on playing with the Junior Varsity team and continue to build by skills.
That season was a great season. My Junior Varsity team made it to the final game in the and we played a really good team. We were down 1-4 at the end of the first half. I ended up having 3 goals in the regular running time and we went to over-time. In over-time everyone was on their game and determined we made it this far and wanted to win it. With everyone’s team work and defense I ended up with the game winning goal!
This year I am a junior in high school which leaves this year and next year to play lacrosse and I don't want it to end there. I have a dream to play for a college team and I would like to pursue that dream. I am willing to do anything to accomplish this. I hope you will help me make my dreams come true.
