I have many collegiate goals and aspirations, some of which include playing lacrosse at the next level and receiving a degree in the field of my choice. Both academically and athletically, I always strive to be the best I can be whether on the lacrosse field or in the classroom. It is my dream to play lacrosse at the highest level, Division 1; any opportunity that allows me to continue my lacrosse career collegiately is one that I would consider.
A few things that I believe make me a good candidate for college-level athletics are my work ethic, my team first mentality, unselfish play, effort on and off the field, my ability to work within a team environment, and my leadership skills. I believe that in order to have a successful lacrosse team, players must put the team's needs before their own. For example, I have played multiple positions throughout my lacrosse career in order to benefit the team. I work off the field, not only to improve my play but to help improve my team's likelihood of success. One way that I show my unselfish play is my inclusion of my teammates regardless of ability, because I believe that every players on the field makes a contribution to the team. Some ways that I have displayed my leadership skills are through student council, my city's Youth Commission, my commitment as the captain of my lacrosse team and my various service to others and the community.
Some things that set me apart from other recruits are my work ethic, my punctuality, and my drive. I am the first one on the field and the last one-off. I also think that helping people in my community is one of the most important things a person can do. For example, I help feed the homeless almost every Monday. I always try to get the most out of practice, any training opportunity, and workouts. I love feedback on my performance on and off the field, and I am respectful, responsible and honest. I believe that my athletic and academic performance is directly related to my nutritional choices. Healthy eating is very important for high performance at the highest level of play. Just like my athletics, I am very competitive in the classroom. I always strive to do my best, and am not afraid to ask for help when needed. I work very well in a collaborative environment and am very passionate about my academic performance and the grades that I earn.
