Chase Browning '16 Recruiting Profile

I have been a competitive student athlete since I was 9 years old. I've previously competed at baseball, wrestling, basketball, cross country and competitive soccer with much success. As a rising freshman I decided to focus on lacrosse, my true passion since I was 8 years old. I've been called an old soul by many of my teachers and coaches based on my self-motivation and the leadership I exhibit on and off the field. As a Freshman I played JV and Varsity lacrosse until league began, and Varsity to finish the season. At our letter ceremony, Coach Rich Cooke described me as "having the 2nd highest lacrosse IQ" he had ever coached. As a Junior I was named Team Captain and managed the off season training for JV and Varsity teams. This honor and responsibility is a demonstration of my recognized leadership abilities. I have wanted to be an architectural engineer since I was in grade school. I have traveled the United States and Canada touring buildings and campuses. I have also developed an interest in BioMedical Engineering during the past year. The opportunity to play lacrosse at the collegiate level while pursuing my career would be a dream come true.
