Soren Savard '21 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coach,

First and foremost, thank you taking your time to read my profile and I hope you and yours are safe and healthy during these trying times. 

My name is Soren Savard, I am 16 years old and a junior attending Mater Dei Catholic High School in Chula Vista, CA. I was born and raised in San Diego, California and I am a first generation American born to a Canadian father and a Portuguese mother. 

I have been involved in many sports as a young child from baseball, ice hockey, soccer, Aikido, football and lacrosse. I have been blessed with supportive parents and the good fortune to play many different sports. These opportunities have allowed me to learn much about myself and others through teamwork, sacrifice, injuries, disappointment and success. My father has always reminded me that there are only two things we have control over: our attitude and our effort. It is these distinctive qualities that I bring to the table in my studies, my athletics and my life. 

My aspirations are to earn an engineering/computer science degree while playing competitive lacrosse at the collegiate level. My goals include finding a team where I can compete but more importantly contribute to the program. I will continue to train and study on/off the field to develop as a player, a teammate and as a person.
