Dear Coaches - thank you for taking the time to examine my profile this far. My name is Paul Burns and I am a midfielder in the class of 2028. I moved to California from the Midwest when I was 5 years old. After playing various sports, including baseball and soccer, I started playing lacrosse when I was 8 years old - and have fallen in love with the game. I just wrapped up my last year of rec lacrosse with the Berkeley Lacrosse Club. It was a team filled with boys I started playing with when I was 8, so it was super fun. We had a great season finishing 10-3 while winning a mid-season 6v6 Tournament along the way. On this team I served as the primary FO guy - which meant I was on the field a lot. But it also meant I learned a lot, and really pushed myself to become a team leader. I was rewarded by being named to the 14U NCJLA All-Star Team, a team made up of some of the best 8th Graders in the entire Bay Area.
In my last season of 10U I also began playing "Comp" lacrosse for ADVNC - the largest, most competitive travel club in the Bay Area. I currently play on the ADVNC East Bay 28' team, and just won our first tournament of the season at the Legends Summer Classic in Oceanside, CA. This year I also made the ADVNC NDP NorCal team - a select team made up of the best ADVNC players at my age in the Bay Area. We'll play our first tournament (The Gauntlet) this summer in Connecticut.
My goal is to play lacrosse in college at the highest level possible on a great team, with great players and great coaching.
