My name is Asher Williams. I am 6’1”, 176-pounds of punishing defense who plays for Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino, CA. I am a real asset to the team on and off the field, and I still don’t think I’ve met my full potential. Having had little prior lacrosse experience, I still excelled at the varsity level as a junior, and I have my senior year to get even better. My attitude towards lacrosse centers around hard work, dedication and an openness to learn about the sport I’ve come to love. As you will see from my highlight tape, I am a very aggressive, hard-nosed, hard working, athlete and my lacrosse IQ is only increasing.
I wanted to not only introduce myself but provide you with an update on how my junior season progressed regarding academics and athletics. I am graduating in 2017 and my junior year GPA was 4.0, including two AP classes. I am towards the younger side of my class (being born 6/25/1999) which only drives me to work harder and makes me excited to reach that potential.
Growing up, I played baseball, tackle football and rugby. As I entered high school, I focused extensively on rugby and football, and briefly on track. Being an athlete, and aspiring to play a sport that requires intelligence as well as athletic ability, lacrosse just seemed right. I picked up a stick for the first time my sophomore year, and never looked back. My junior year was my first year transferring from d-midi to a long pole defenseman. That's when I fell in love with the sport and am eager to play at the next level. At Crespi, we had the 5th hardest schedule in SoCal and 2nd hardest schedule in the Los Angeles area, according to CIF Southern Section, so the opponents you see me defending, excel in their own right.
Personally, I believe the benefits to being a multi-sport athlete are outstanding, but due to playing sports year round, I have not been able to make a name for myself attending camps, showcases, etc. Being a multi-sport athlete has taught me to perform at all levels of pressure, how to get through adversity with different bands of brothers, helped with my change of direction and footwork, and has helped me realize that lacrosse is my sport. I would be delighted to fly out to any college on a moment’s notice for a visit or local camp.
I am unquestionably interested in playing college lacrosse.

I am in a rigorous weight training program at Crespi and am currently on a diet/regimen to gain mass, while maintaining my speed and quickness. Due to my interest in the community, and in business, I plan on managing a nonprofit for women's equality in the workplace, and running an eco-friendly real estate development company. As of now, I also plan on studying economics and pre-law and then continuing my education to earn a M.B.A. in business management or real estate.
