In January of 2020, shortly after my freshman football season ended I made the fateful decision to join a local lacrosse club. The club I joined was a town away and walking onto the field the first day, I did not know a single person. But by the time that first week of practice was over, I had a dozen new friends and an instant love for the game. Unfortunately, Covid hit a couple of months later and our season was cut short but I was back out there in 2021 for a full season and now I am in for life.
Nine years of football experience has really been a big contributor to my aggressive nature on the lacrosse field. I do not have fear of being hit or getting into physical situations, which has made me a natural defenseman. I also like to transition into the LSM position and have the mental quickness to know there is a play to be made there when others might not. I am always a team player though, and executing long passes accurately and quickly is a strength of mine as well. I have been learning face-off this season and my win rate keeps improving. I currently have a 3.70 GPA, am taking AP classes, am a starter on the Varsity football team at the Linebacker position for the 22-23 season and am involved in student leadership. I am well liked by coaches, peers and teachers.
In the summer of 2022 I played in six tournaments with two different travels teams, sometimes playing eight games in a weekend and was named to the All-Tournament team at the Robinhood Skirmish in Sherwood, OR.
I am looking forward to my college experience, wherever that ends up being. Thank you for your consideration.
