I just completed my Junior at St. Augustine High School in San Diego. I started playing Lacrosse in 8th grade as a mid-fielder. I started playing goalie as a high school Freshman. My coach, John Tolla, asked for volunteers to try the position part way through an unsuccessful season. I worked hard and quickly found a love for the position. With the help of my coaches, I ended the season as the Varsity starter as a Freshman. I attended Bill Pilat's goalie camp the last two summers and have worked hard at becoming a better player.
During my Sophomore season (2016) our team turned around with a 15-3 record earning a league championship. I was named 1st team All-League and MVP of our Varsity team.
During my Junior season (2017) our team won a league championship and played in the CIF Finals coming in runner ups for Division 2. I was name 1st team All-League and League Player of the Year for the 2017 season.
Lacrosse has become my passion and I switched from playing club soccer to club Lacrosse for the remainder of my high school experience. In the summer of 2016 I attended a number of Lacrosse showcases locally and on the East coast, as well as tournaments and I returned to the Pilat goalie camp. I plan on attending events on the West and East coasts in the summer of 2017.
In addition to Lacrosse and a focus on my academics, I played on our JV soccer team my Sophomore year, am a writer for our school newspaper and participate in many community service activities. I took a 3 week trip to Guatamala in January 2016 with a service group to help locals with infrastructure projects. I volunteered as a poll worker in the 2016 Presidential election and recently obtained scuba diving certification in January 2017. My academics are a priority and I pride myself in maintaining an 3.9 GPA. I am taking a competitive course schedule my Senior year with three AP classes and will be taking Civics in summer school 2017.
I am coachable player always looking to improve. I still have so much to learn and value guidance from all coaches and teammates. My goal is to continue playing lacrosse at the collegiate level and to challenge myself academically at a great university.
