My father has been a strong influence in my lacrosse development over the years. He was a player and coach and is always showing me how to be a better player and learn the game. When at tournaments, we watch other games and he points out good and bad mechanics to improve my game play. While I am most interested in playing defense, I have also played all other positions. Even now, I play on an elite traveling team, and I have had to fill in for face offs and middie due to team injuries or if we travel light for a particular tournament. I work hard all game long and stay in very good physical shape. I wrestle in the Winter in addition to my travel lacrosse team and enter the Spring lacrosse season in top physical shape. Unfortunately, my Sacred Heart High School team is not one of the better teams in the San Fransisco and we have had a few different coaches through the years. But I do enjoy the bond I have made with my team and some of the successes we have had as a team. I have gravitated to playing defense because I enjoy the physical part of the game and being part of the defensive unit as we work together. My Junior year, I was recognized as an MVP for my leadership on and off the field. I am looking forward to going to college and majoring in Engineering. I am also looking forward to being part of a college lacrosse team as part of my college experience and the brotherhood of being part of a team. I look forward to working hard for my new coaches and giving me the opportunity to maintain my conditioning and improve my skills.
NorCal Coach Recommendation:
Enzo has a motor that is unmatched in this game. Moments where naturally gifted athletes have an opportunity to rest, Enzo seems to find another gear. What is most impressive about Enzo is that he has the drive to continue to grow within the sport that coaches want to see. As he continues to develop as a player, he will grow into an absolute monster defender, regardless of whether not he’s playing with a pole or a short stick. Enzo is an investment in your program, That I can guarantee you. Great kid, great attitude, high competitiveness. Coaches dream. Riptide Coach Recommendation:
I am writing a letter on behalf of Enzo Prestigiacomo and his lacrosse abilities. I have been fortunate enough to participate as a parent/coach through the development of Enzo as an athlete, team leader and lacrosse player. I have been involved in lacrosse for 40 plus years as a player, coach, referee and WCLA active member and have taught him the fundamentals and mechanics of the game for all positions . Enzo is well rounded lacrosse player and has played every position (even goalie). He is most interested in playing defense and long stick middie. He is also skilled as a short stick, been used as a FOGO and is a good option for man down with a short stick. He has excellent conditioning and is on the Varsity wrestling team in the Fall. He has played club ball since 5th grade and on his High School team at Sacred Heart Cathedral on Varsity as a starter since his Sophomore year. He received MVP award as a Junior and has been leader on and off the field. This year he is also playing on a Elite traveling team in the SF Bay Area. This has been a tremendous growth opportunity for him playing with a top travel team in the Bay Area playing with and against some of the top talent on the west coast. Enzo is a very coachable student athlete and has excellent field sense. He will run hard for you all game long and bring a physical element to the game. He is very interested in being part of a competitive lacrosse program. He sees the bonds I have with my college and club lacrosse friends/family and wants this to be part of his life. He has a solid B average and is not looking for any scholarship money but any assistance in helping him get into your school is very much appreciated. Regards, Tony Prestigiacomo
