I have been a multi-sport athlete my entire life. I have played baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, and ran cross country. During my first two years of high school I raced mountain bikes and played basketball. I spend my summers working as a certified lifeguard and volunteer coach youth lacrosse teams in the area.
I have played lacrosse since I was 8 years old and truly appreciate everything the sport has given me. I was never the biggest, strongest, fastest, or star on the team, but I love the game and have been raised knowing that hard work and determination pays off. Over the years I have put in the work to become a better athlete and lacrosse player. Through my dedication to training my body I have become one of the faster players on the team and demonstrated significant improvement in my athleticism. I care a lot about this sport and push myself to be the best I can and always do my best to listen to coaches and implement what they have taught me. I pride myself on being a great teammate and making the most of my preparation. This is reflected in being named a captain this year. Also, I do not let things get to me when I am on the lacrosse field and always try to learn from my mistakes. I have a great understanding of positioning and reading the offense when I am on the field and am a quick thinker that focuses on good communication.
I want to play at the highest level in college and get the best education I can. I want to pursue a fire science, business, or sports management degree. After college I plan on continuing on to law school. It is important for me to graduate from college knowing I gave school and lacrosse everything I had and having met my goals. Being a student athlete is especially important in helping me become the best possible person I can be. I strive to reach my goals in the classroom as well and put in all the necessary time and effort. My current weighted GPA of 3.74 and my position on the Dean’s list show how hard I work and that I appreciate how important my education is for my future. I will also graduate with my associates degree.
I will be a huge asset to any program that gives me an opportunity. I will lead through my work ethic and dedication to the program and academics. My teammates will appreciate my effort and my willingness to work with and for them.
