Michael Alvarez '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a very athletic person, played sports all my life: hockey, basketball, baseball, soccer, indoor lacrosse, and finally my favorite lacrosse. I am currently a senior at my high school with an unweighted 3.3 gpa, and i take honor and AP classes. I like to be challenged, I try to do all the hard classes and do my best in them, even on the field I challenge my self to do new and better things. For a team i can offer leadership, in hockey i was co-captain and I would help improve the team by helping the weakest link first. I wasn't allowed to be captain for my high school lacrosse team due to senior captain rule, but I still acted like a captain out there by helping everyone. This year I believe I well get voted to become the captain, same with my teammates. I would love to continue playing this sport in my college years and maybe even further, I even plan to coach little kids in the future. College wise I don't mind what the geographic location is, what i am more interested in is the academics the school offers. I would like to major in the medical field, because i just love helping people, and becoming a doctor is a really good way to do help people. Some athletic goals i have is to be able to improve a team, I want to make a difference in a team. For example, I would like to be able to lead a team to their first championship game and come out with a victory at the end. In the end win or lose I will have my team and I walk off the field with our heads held up high because we know we did our best in the matchup.
