Matthew Toro '17 Recruiting Profile

I want to go to college and get the best education I possibly can while playing lacrosse at a high level. I am a qualified candidate because I want to be the best player on the field. I'm constantly honing my skills by working out and practicing everyday. I'm different from other athletes because I understand that a team is a brotherhood and that a team is only as good as its weakest link. That is why I strive to bring the best out of my team because that is what I expect from them and myself. From an athletic point of view I want the best out of my body, which is why I push myself to the limits, physically and mentally. I am not afraid to hit or be hit, coming from a football background I strongly believe in physicality and speed. I have played football since the 3rd grade, but I decided to dedicate my athletic career to lacrosse once I started playing lacrosse in 10th grade.  From an academic perspective, academics always comes first because I know how heavily my future will rely on my education. I have always been an A or B student, above average and I pride myself on how hard I work in school.
