I found my love for lacrosse 10 years ago and have played consistently ever since. I have played for various leagues and under diverse coaching styles. Most recent years I have played Fall, Spring and Summer competitively. Having played both JV and Varsity for North Gwinnett High School, I am currently playing Varsity for the Fall and scheduled to play Varsity for my senior year of high school this Spring.
While I am a senior and am late to explore the opportunity to play in college, playing against high caliber teams in tournaments while traveling to Virginia and Maryland this past summer affirmed my desire to continue with the sport and play in college.
I've played Attack and Middie since beginning lacrosse, yet I began playing defense/LSM this past summer. Having played both offense and defense, I understand what both sides need. This gives me an advantage as a strong defensive player. I continuously work on my skills, and I push my endurance and strength goals by going to gym at least 5 times per week. My coaches in the past have commented on my exceptional understanding of the game, my precision, and my ability to receive and apply coaching well.
My current GPA reflects a 2.5, however, my senior class scores are showing improved grades. Admittedly I have not put forth a consistent nor my best effort, and my grades are not reflective of what I know my capabilities are. I understand the importance of education and committed to working toward my potential.
I am currently considering a focus on Agriculture in college. I am searching for a school where I can thrive academically, athletically, and environmentally.
