Personal Statement

I am passionate about lacrosse and dedicated to excelling both on and off the field.

One of my primary collegiate goals is to become a Physical Therapist specializing in recovery for Sports Injuries. I believe that my experience in lacrosse, coupled with my passion for the game and interest in sports medicine, will provide me with a unique perspective and skill set to pursue this career path successfully.

As a player, I bring several qualities that I believe make me a strong candidate for your team. Firstly, I am a team player through and through. I understand the importance of collaboration and communication on the field, and I always strive to support and uplift my teammates. Whether it's during practice or in the heat of a game, I am committed to working together towards our shared goals.

Furthermore, I possess a strong willingness to learn and improve. I am always seeking feedback from coaches and teammates to enhance my skills and knowledge of the game. I am open-minded and adaptable, willing to take on new challenges and roles to contribute to the team's success.

One aspect that sets me apart from other recruits is my versatility on the field. I have experience playing multiple positions, including Face Off, midfield, and goalie. This versatility not only demonstrates my adaptability but also adds depth to the team lineup, allowing for strategic flexibility during games. Even when I couldn't play due to injury, I coached the middle school team and was the referee for elementary, middle school and high school games.

In addition to my athletic abilities, I place a high emphasis on academics. I currently maintain a 3.5 GPA and am starting college classes as dual enrollment. I understand the importance of balancing sports with studies and am committed to maintaining academic excellence throughout my collegiate career.

Overall, I believe my passion for lacrosse, dedication to teamwork, versatility on the field, and academic ambitions make me a valuable asset to your team. I am eager to bring my skills and enthusiasm to your program and contribute to its continued success.

  • Notes: Jonathan McClure Vice President/Coach Island Youth Lacrosse Okinawa [email protected] 080-4327-9256 4/8/2024 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to share with you what I have learn and experienced with my time spent with Tobin Kaiser. I have had the pleasure of working with Tobin for the past three seasons, both as one of his coaches, as well as one of the coaches that coached against him. In my role, as the Vice President of Island Youth Lacrosse Okinawa (IYLO) and an experienced coach with than ten years in the field, I have personally witnessed his exceptional dedication, leadership and love for the sport of lacrosse. Having coached Tobin on a travel team last year, I have witnessed firsthand his outstanding character, skill, and commitment to lacrosse. He worked tierlessly to hone his faceoff work and abilty to shoot from various places on the field. All of this work showed his work ethic, as well as his coachability. He takes corrections well, and can apply coaching points rapidly to best improve his game. Despite a setback this past season, from a knee injury Tobin’s resilience and determination never faltered. Not letting the injury hold him back, Tobin approached me to volunteer as a coach for one of our Middle School teams at IYLO showcasing his passion for lacrosse and his community spirit. During his time as a coach Tobin consistently demonstrated leadership skills and an ability to educate and lead players to become better, as a team and individuals. He dedicated hundreds of hours of time to mentoring and guiding his team, sharing his knowledge of the sport and creating an supportive atmosphere, for his players. Even though he couldn't play physically Tobins presence on the sidelines was truly valuable. It motivated his team to grow and reach their potential this season. Additionally, Tobin went above and beyond his coaching responsibilities. He was present and backed his high school team at all but one game this season. When cleared for some movement, he also volunteered to referee elementary and some middle school matches that he was not coaching. This demonstrates his devotion to and love for lacrosse. In conclusion Tobin Kaiser is an individual with the qualities needed to excel in any lacrosse program. His leadership, commitment and passion for the game make him an indispensable asset. I am confident he will contribute significantly both on and off the field. I wholeheartedly recommend Tobin as someone who has the potential to thrive at the next level. Feel free to reach out if you need information or have any inquiries, about Tobin's qualifications. Best regards, Vice President/Coach Island Youth Lacrosse Okinawa
