Jacob Cunningham '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jacob Cunningham and I am 16 years old and I am attending Archbishop Curley High School in Baltimore, Maryland. I see myself as a well rounded young man who is capable of accomplishing anything I pursue.

My freshman year I made JV lacrosse which throughout the year started every game and lead the team in assists and was second in goals. That year we went to the championship but came up short to Friends school. I was a little disappointed in myself that I didn't make varsity but that made me buckle down and work hard in the offseason. I worked on my off hand(left) and many other aspects of my game that I need to strengthen. I came out this 2015-2016 school year confident in myself. I made varsity this year which just showed me that hard work does pay off. I was an attackman my freshman year but since I play midfield for club I thought I should switch. This school year I have earned my time and have played a fair amount. I operate and contribute to my team as a defensive and clearing middy. I recently with in the past two weeks earned my spot on the second line of middies the first line being all seniors. With this new position I still play as a defensive middy and clearing middy so I am an all around solid midfielder in my eyes. I am a hard working dedicated player focused on playing for the name on the front of the jersey and not the back. 

After high school I plan to head off to a four year college to major in business admin. I would love to play lacrosse, this sport is my life I grew up with it and to play it through college would make me tremendously happy.
