As I embark on my senior year of high school I am looking at future a lot closer. Now that things have almost gotten back to normal from the pandemic, I am reflecting on what I have learned and how much I have grown as a person, a student and an athlete. I have given a lot of thought into what I want to study in college. I have a true passion for film studies/cinematography. What I know for sure is that my collegiate goal includes playing lacrosse! I was raised to put academics before athletics. You have to have balance between the class room time and the field time. You need to exercise your brain as much as you exercise your body. My parents always told me that God doesn't give you a gift he doesn't want you to use, and he gave me the gift to play lacrosse. My gift to God is to use what he gave me to help get me into a great college to build a future. Trust is earned as is respect! I come from a big family, I have 4 brothers. I am the 2nd oldest so I want to be a good role model for my siblings as my older brother is to me. We are a family team of 7. My parents have always provided for me and I am thankful for that. I was raised to respect others and be thankful for what I have and take pride in what I have earned. I am a hard worker! I put in 100% effort on and off the field. I believe that practice is just as important as a game. I am a lacrosse player but I am NOT the lacrosse team. You need your teammates as much as they need you! Your team is your family, you have their backs and they will have yours. You form a brotherhood that extends off the field as well. I will never give up until the final whistle is blown and I carry that philosophy in the classroom. I never stop trying until the final grade is given. I believe I am a good candidate for any team that wants someone that will be a team player and that will put in 100% effort every time. I will step up to play anything the coach or team needs. I will stand with my team in victories and defeats. If that is what your team is looking for then I am the man for your team!!
