Shane Penzien '18 Recruiting Profile

  My name is Shane Penzien I am currently a senior at St. Clair High School, in St. Clair Michigan. I started playing lacrosse three years ago when i was in ninth grade. My first two years I played defense for our varsity team. And last year I made the switch to goalie and loved it.  At the start of the season i was having trouble making saves but every game i got better.  My high school team ended up winning our division for the first time for only our third year as a school program.  I also played for 586 lacrosse an affiliate of 313 lacrosse over the summer.  And also during the summer i was invited and went to the Michigan 99 select recruiting showcase. Besides lacrosse I like to help in my community, recently I volunteered at the Special Dreams farm and helped out at the Fireman's dinner.  I also really enjoyed getting the chance to coach one of the St. Clair Junior Football teams this year and they played hard to win first place.

    I currently have a 2.6 GPA which I am not proud of but I have been working hard to get it up.  I am in advanced classed and have been taking advanced math classes since seventh grade.  I also am in AP chemistry this year and taking two AP classed next year.  I am not positive on what I want to pursue yet but I am thinking about dentistry or financial management.
