You will be hard pressed to find many lacrosse players like me. I'm a good player, but there are lots of good players. It's my size, speed, and athleticism that should make me compelling. I'm usually the biggest guy on the field, but when there are other players my size, they aren't as fast or agile. I know college will be different, but my room for improvement has a greater ceiling. Being a multi sport athlete has limited my capability to focus singularly on lacrosse like other prospects you are evaluating. If I play lacrosse in college, the team will be getting a hidden gem. I haven't played club in three seasons because of time constraints, but I've scored on some of the best players on the best teams in my state during the varsity season.
I was voted team captain after the spring season. I received all conference and all section accolades. It is all nice, but that isn't what drives me. I want to be part of something special. I want to put my footprint on being a winner. I grind. I welcome the process. I am the player you want to come work with, develop, and mold.
A funny thing happened on my way to this part of my athletic career. I started getting recruited in another sport, football. I've always loved football, but never expected that it might be something I participated in beyond high school. I've been recruited at levels that include NCAA D1 FCS and FBS which has been quite the experience. I plan to play out this season and see where the best opportunities lie on both athletic and personal levels.
I'm interested in a school with a strong computer science program and the most important aspect is team culture. Playing for a winner is important, but I'd rather play for and with people I love than people who just win. Obviously getting all of that would be ideal. I don't need to start right away. I'm a grinder who is goal oriented. If you dangle the carrot, I'll find a way to get it.
