Charlie Crawford - 2024 – All-showcase SSDM - A true two-way Middie; Inside Lacrosse Rated 80.
My 2023 junior high school season just ended. Although we lost in the first round of the playoffs, it was a great year of learning more about lacrosse. Due to team needs, my coaches asked me to play more of a transitional/defensive Middie than my sophomore year (when I was an offensive Middie). I am so glad that this happened. Now I see the field differently, I have sharpened my defensive abilities and I developed skills that my earlier seasons never required or rarely tested. Even though we fell short again in the playoffs, the 2023 season was a great experience and I am better for it. My team goal (and mine personally) is to win the State of Nevada championship in 2024.
Hard work and a positive view of life is in my blood and part of my faith. Away from the classroom and the lacrosse field, I volunteer extensively. By the end of my senior year, I will have provided 550+ hours of service work in campus ministry (leader), mission trips, escorting veterans on "Honor Flights" and coaching 3rd and 4th grader lacrosse teams.
My goals for the future include playing NCAA-level lacrosse at a strong college or university that challenges me athletically and academically. I think that I will be a good fit at a university that inspires its students and has a lacrosse team with coaches who love the game and mentoring players.
If you would like to watch me play in person and meet me, my 2023 fall schedule includes playing at several high-profile showcases and tournaments including trips to: Oceanside, Palm Springs and San Diego. My cell is 775-870-2463.
