My name is Jacob Spalinger and I am a class of 2023 recruit from Windham New Hampshire. I have been playing lacrosse for around 8 years and am now playing for my high school team. I am a 6'3 180lb 2 year starting (2020 season lost due to Covid) aggressive Defenseman for Windham Highschool. Along with lacrosse I also played high school basketball for two years. Away from lacrosse, I like to. hike, mountain bike, fish, and anything else outdoor-related. Something that I think makes me stand out from other recruits are my efforts to help others. I am currently working on my eagle scout rank for boy scouts and will finish it by the spring of 2022, and I already have more than the required 40 hours of community service time required for graduation. I also am a camp counselor who manages a mountain bike program during the summer at YMCA Camp Lincoln in Kingston NH, that I have attended since I was 7 years old. Recently, I was hired to provide one on one lacrosse coaching for younger players looking to improve their skills. By participating in all these activities I am focused on not only helping myself but helping others. Any time I get the chance to give positive feedback or pointers to a teammate or peer I seek to do so. I believe that if you have a strong positive connection with the individuals you work with it makes your bonds stronger, creating not just a team but a family who always looks out for one another.
