My goal is to go to a University where I can pursue my goals of working in the business / finance industry. Undergraduate schools which offer a Finance degree are preferable but I am comfortable with a degree in the arts with a minor in economics / business. .
I have had many challenges throughout my lacrosse career including season ending injuries as a rising freshman and prior to the start of my sophomore varsity season. In each case, my dedication to the Team meant that I attended all practices and games. I made the most of the situation by helping other players on the field become better with my observations and encouragement.
I would like to play for a school which offers a wide diversity of students and experiences in the classroom. I have challenged myself to look beyond the "safe" school around the corner and have become a part of the inner city school that is St. Peter's Prep. I have developed some life friendships and have built bonds to the school that make the challenges of my hour long, public transportation commute, worth the struggle.
I have a great sense of family and community and it has often be said that my character and leadership qualities make me an ideal teammate and very coachable as a player. Many of my favorite moments are those times when I can help shape the development of others which in turn cements the concepts with me.
Early on, when coaches relegated me to the "lesser team" I played through it and never gave up. I worked to get stronger and faster and developed my playing skills to earn a spot. As a freshman that meant I played on the varsity team and as a rising 8th grader, I started for New Jersey's U15 Team. For the last 2 years I have played for one of the top teams in the tri-state region, Tri-State's AA 2016 Team, and have been their top attackman. I am a team player and show best when working with like minded players. The assist is often more valuable than the goal, but I have made sure to develop my shot speed and placement so I am a threat every time I touch the ball.
I would prefer a school where the alumni take an active role in post graduate recruiting and placement and show strong support of it's student athletes.
