Trevor Barber '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Trevor Barber and I am a Sophmore at Donovan Catholic High School in Toms River, NJ.  My fall work course includes CP classes,  Habitat for Humanity and President of the Donovan Fishing Club, as well as a member of the varsity Lacrosse & Football programs.  However, my passion and love is for the game of Lacrosse.  For this reason, I am looking for a college that holds high academic standards as well as a high level of play of lacrosse On the other hand, I know I would be an asset to any college with the right dynamics.  I am dedicated, extremely focused, and a positive leader both on and off the field. I understand the meaning of "Team" rather then an "Individual" which produces success Donovan Catholic is a small private catholic school with a college feel to it.  This environment promotes religion, morals, and holds the students to a high professional standard during school hours and functions. I hope to find a university with a strong academic and athletic balance. 

Academics are my priority and most important as they will help guide me to future success in life.  I carry these same academic ideas onto the lacrosse field and I work extremely hard to be the best lacrosse player and teammate on and off the field.  I am respectful to the referees, coaches, and teammates because again, my actions are a true reflection on "me" Trevor Barber.  I understand this is a team sport and the main goal is to play to the best of my abilities and fulfill my role and make smart decisions on the field to help bring success to the team.  

Lastly, my positive qualities, leadership and diversity are distinctions that set me apart from most young men my age. In fact, this year I was chose for Team Captain as a junior. Therefore, a personal introduction will reflect the true person I am.  In turn, it will persuade you that I am a fine scholar and athlete you would only want to represent your college...a natural leader who will make the right decisions on and off the field.
