Hello Coach,
My name is Riley Michael Sand. I am sixteen years old, live in Yorktown, N.Y. and I am a junior at Lakeland High School. I am looking forward to attending college where I can pursue my future profession, and I would really love to continue playing lacrosse. I am a good student, my focus has been to improve my grades each semester until I graduate.
I love playing sports. I have been playing football since 3rd grade. I started playing instructional basketball at age five and continued straight through until my high school varsity team last year. I decided to take this year off from basketball to focus on training for my lacrosse season. My goal is to improve my game. Lacrosse is my favorite sport since I started in kindergarten. It's a game where you have to continue improving your skills year after year. As a defensemen your knowledge of where everyone is on the field is the most important part, and to see the play coming.
One of my best characteristics I have been told from my coaches, is I am a coachable player. I have learned from every youth coach I've had and continue to do so In high school. As a player I am wiling to listen and learn, my parents always say, you learn something new everyday, go do something nice for someone today, and it's progress not perfection I should strive for. Please look for updated and new videos of my game this season, I've increased my training and I intend to take my position at defense to the next level these last 2 years of high school.
I would love to come meet and talk with a college coach to find the right fit for me. I am looking forward to developing and continuing my play at the college level.
Thank you,
Riley Sand 2024
